Comedy at Canyon Creek B&B at 8:00
Wayne Francis
My career began at 10 years old by sending a dime to an add in a comic book. My father
helped me build my first puppet out of papier-mache and I was off to the races. At age 26 I
turned professional and spent several years turning jokes from my crazy friends, music
from my background and these “life-sized” puppets into a whacky romp thru the
imagination!
Over the years, Wingnut and I have been fortunate to sail the seas on cruise ships. We
made it completely around the world entertaining aboard Princess and Seven Seas cruise
Lines. What an adventure! We also entertain in Comedy clubs from coast to coast
including: Comedy Magic Club, Hermosa Beach CA. Comedy Works CO. Improve TX, Laffs
AZ, Funny Bone IW, Jokers OK, and an unforgettable New Years Eve night at Comedy
Wood in Toronto CA. Our favorite season so far was being the MC in a large production
show in Branson Missouri. We entertained nightly in Echo Hollow, a 4000 amphitheater in
Silver Dollar City. Turning to our love of flight, Wingnut and I have made great inroads
entertaining at air shows and Balloon festivals all over the country. That’s Chico and I on
the field at the International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque NM (above). What a thrill! Our
summers are usually spent on tour thru out the United States working at music fairs and
festivals including Summerfest WI, Rio Fest TX and of course Spam Fest MN. We have
opened for acts including: Smothers Brothers, Drew Cary, Roseanne, George Lopez,
Fabulous Thunderbirds, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, America, Blue Angels and the Bushes
Baked Beans dog. We have developed many friendships with our fans and have totally
enjoyed all of the different performers we have met along the way. That is the real magic of
a job like this!
